Capper Student Birthday Celebration (1963)

At the May NCO Party, students celebrate by breaking a piñata; Douglas Schwanke becomes a hero and finally conquers the antics of those moving the candy-filled piñata out of reach. When the piñata is finally broken, everyone scrambles forward to fill their pockets … AND MOUTHS!

The monthly NCO parties are sponsored by the wives of Forbes Non-Commissioned Officers. Parties are held to celebrate Foundation students’ birthdays. Refreshments of cake and ice cream are served. Some of the activities for the year included appearances of Krako the Clown, a puppet show, movies, and a vaudeville tap dancing routine.
