Meet Our Occupational Therapists

Amy Douglas, OTR/L

Amy received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center. She has over twenty-five years of experience working as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. She joined the Capper team in 2019 when she moved to Topeka with her family. Amy has specialized training in the SOS Approach to Feeding that is used at Capper Foundation. She enjoys working with all ages of children and making an impact on their lives as well as the lives of their family members. Amy, her husband, and four children enjoy sporting events, hiking, and relaxing at home. 

Crista Porter, MOT, OTR/LCrista Porter, MOT, OTR/L

Crista earned her Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2015. She has specialized training in feeding therapy through the SOS Approach to Feeding. Crista has a passion for helping kids thrive and gain independence in their own environment through play. Crista and her husband enjoy chasing around their two kiddos at home, being with family and friends, and all things sports!

Connor Tanking, MOT, OTR/L

Connor received a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center and a Bachelor of Exercise Science degree from Ottawa University. She has pediatric experience in multiple settings including schools (pre-k to 18-21 programming) as well as various outpatient clinical settings. Connor has specialized continuing education training in the SOS Approach to Feeding. Connor loves helping kids develop skills through fun, interactive, play-based therapy. She enjoys parent collaboration and helping children carry skills into their home environment. In her free time, Connor loves to spend time with her husband, two boys, and black lab, Millie!
