This year’s Concert for a Child will be a FREE community concert on Friday, June 19, featuring Zac Harmon at Evergy Plaza. Zac Harmon is an award-winning guitarist, singer, and songwriter whose distinctive style continues the lineage of American Blues music – America’s classical music. Opening up for Zac will be local band The Mix. They are led by Mike Babb and are a blues and classic rock group from Topeka playing old school music from the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.

The concert is a benefit for Pediatric Services, including the Children’s Abilities Fund (CAF). This fund is a lifeline for families facing overwhelming financial challenges while raising a child with a disability. It assists families in covering the unreimbursed cost of therapy services, such as high insurance deductibles, copays, additional therapy sessions, and other essential services not covered by Medicaid, commercial insurance, or private pay. Additionally, the CAF bridges the funding gap for program expenses that insurance and other funding sources fail to cover.
