Jeremiah’s Story

Jeremiah has been building abilities with Capper Foundation for the last three years, starting shortly after his mother discovered he was in need of speech therapy. Since then, our staff have enjoyed working with him and his family to help meet their goals.

“I just walked in and spoke to Mary, the Intake Coordinator, and she said, ‘I will get this taken care of,’” Jeremiah’s mother, Maria, shared. “Within a week, we were receiving services from Capper. We’ve been here for three years now, and he has just made phenomenal progress. The people here are phenomenal.”

While receiving services from Capper, Jeremiah was diagnosed with autism, so he and his family also began participating in Capper’s Behavior Support Services. Maria spoke highly of how these services complemented Jeremiah’s Speech Therapy and helped improve behaviors at home such as sleeping in his own bed, no longer biting his nails, and more. Since January, 31 families were served by our Behavior Support Services, showing remarkable results overall.
