DESCRIPTION:Are you ready to get on your feet and dance?\n \n\nJoin us as we get immersed in the sounds of tropical Caribbean/Latin music at this year’s Concert for a Child. Son Venezuela has been performing across the Midwest for 30 years with their talents being honored with an induction into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame in 2024. \n\n6:00 p.m. – Doors Open + Social Time (bar will be open)\n* Bobby’s Food Co. will have their Big Boyz Food Trailer on-site serving up BBQ\, Phillys\, Tacos & Gyros\n7:00 p.m. – Remarks & Introduction of Son Venezuela\n9:00 p.m. – Concert Concludes\n \nConcert for a Child is a special event benefiting Pediatric Services at Capper Foundation including the Children’s Abilities Fund (CAF). This fund is a lifeline for families facing overwhelming financial challenges while raising a child with a disability. It assists families in covering the unreimbursed cost of therapy services\, such as high insurance deductibles\, copays\, additional therapy sessions\, and other essential services not covered by Medicaid\, commercial insurance\, or private pay. Additionally\, the CAF bridges the funding gap for program expenses that insurance and other funding sources fail to cover. In the last fiscal year\, $958\,415 was given to financially assist families and cover unreimbursed costs.\n \nTogether\, we want to help every child build their abilities and meet their goals like walking independently\, and communicating their wants and needs so they can be as independent as possible as they continue to grow up.
