Bettis Companies, in partnership with Koss Construction and Capper Foundation will be hosting the 1st Annual C.A.S.T. for Kids Event at Lone Oak on September 17, 2022. The C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation enriches the lives of children with special needs, supports their families, and strengthens communities through the sport of fishing. Bettis Companies has partnered with Koss Construction and Capper Foundation to provide the children that they support an opportunity to participate in this event, as well as opening it up to the community for any child, ages 6-18 with special needs to join.
We are seeking participants and volunteers to join us for an unforgettable morning of fishing!
EVENT DETAILS
Date: Saturday, September 17, 2022 (rain or shine)
Time: 9:00am – 12:30pm (volunteers to arrive at 8:00am)
Location: Lone Oak – Lecompton, KS (~15 miles from Topeka – address provided upon registration)
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
This event is designed to provide children with special needs, ages 6 – 18, the opportunity to enjoy a quality outdoor recreational experience through the sport of fishing. Pre-registration is required to participate.
Participants who register receive a free fishing gear fun-pack! Includes rod & reel, tackle box, event shirt, cap, and photo plaque!
ONSHORE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Volunteers needed to assist with all aspects of event setup and facilitation. Also needed are experienced anglers to help one child plus a parent or guardian, show them proper fishing techniques, and to help them land their first catch! Pre-registration is required to volunteer.
Note: We ask that parents and guardians remain with their participating child, however, please share this volunteer opportunity with family and friends.
